Elton is an accomplished versatile jazz guitarist with deep roots in the blues and soul. He currently plays lead guitar in a gypsy jazz trio, the Hot Club of Cape Town, as well as regularly performing solo at restaurants, weddings, and other private events.

Elton has a special affinity for the 7 string guitar. He finds its extended range especially useful both when playing solo and in an accompanying role.

He has also taught for several years at Cape Town’s Jazz Workshop, as well as several primary and secondary schools around the city.
